RadioBackground is a plugin for GTA V (LSPDFR) that allows you to listen to realistic police radio in an immersive way,
automatically adjusting the volume according to your distance from the police vehicle.

And you know what's even better? It's simple and has a customizable .WAV (radio/scanner) file.

---

## Installation

1. Have LSPDFR installed and working;

2. Download and extract the plugin file;

3. Copy the files to the GTAV folder:

Copy the contents of the Grand Theft Auto V folder into the main game folder.

4. Done! Start GTA V normally through RagePluginHook and make sure the plugin is being loaded by RagePluginHook in the plugins tab.

- The radio will already be working when you enter a police vehicle.

---

## How to Use

- Turning the radio on/off:

- Inside the vehicle, hold SHIFT and press R (SHIFT+R).

Activation/deactivation messages will appear on the screen.

- Press F10 to completely disable the plugin or volume control.

## How it works:

- **Radio volume:**

- **Inside the vehicle:** maximum volume.

- **Outside the vehicle, up to 15 meters:** volume reduced proportionally to 0.

- **From 15 to 30 meters from the vehicle:** radio is muted, but remains on.

- **More than 30 meters:** the radio turns off automatically.

To turn it back on: simply return and enter the vehicle, or press SHIFT+R again.

## Changing the radio audio

Simply replace the "RadioBackground.wav" file in the indicated folder with your own audio in WAV format.

Required and Recommended Features of WAV
Format: WAV (Waveform Audio File Format)
Audio: Mono or stereo (both work)
Sample Rate: 44,100 Hz (recommended, also works at 22,050 Hz or 48,000 Hz)
Resolution/Bits per sample: 16 bits (default for maximum compatibility)
Compression: No compression (Linear PCM, i.e., "standard WAV," not "compressed WAV" or ADPCM)

Size:
It is highly recommended that the RadioBackground.wav file be less than 120MB (and preferably much smaller).

The plugin loads and processes the entire file in memory; large files can cause:
- Longer loading times;
- Possible crashes/lags, especially on PCs with less RAM;
- Risk of crashes or failure to start audio in more extreme cases;
- Unnecessary resource usage. Name:

The file MUST be named exactly: RadioBackground.wav
And be located in the folder: plugins\RadioBackground

## Tips

- If the radio doesn't play, check if you placed the audio file in the correct location!

- Always keep the requirements updated to avoid problems.

## Have fun!👮‍
